The investors in Turkey and their counterparts in Brazil have the opportunity to boost their economic ties as the Brazilian authorities want to improve the businesses between the two countries. The Brazilian ambassador to Turkey, Antonio Luis Espinola Salgado, declared that the both parties should make efforts in order to develop more the business ties.

This idea was presented at a business meeting that took place recently in the Turkish province of Gaziantep, where the Brazilian ambassador spoke about the economy in his country and the outlook for future business opportunities. The Brazilian economy is the seventh largest in the world, even if the country is well known for other things, as carnivals, football and coffee.

 

Important Turkish investments in Brazil

 

The investments made by Turkish entrepreneurs in Brazil have reached to an impressive value of 700 million dollars, while the investments of the Brazilian entrepreneurs in the other country are estimated to 35 million dollars. The trade between the two countries has developed especially in the last 14 years and the Brazilian ambassador encouraged more Turkish businessmen to start doing business in his country.

The same idea was stressed also by the Brazil's honorary consul in Gaziantep, Murat Kökoğlu, who declared that the trade volume between the two countries can increase in the future as economic changes between the two countries have reached important figures. The value of the exports made by Turkey to Brazil amounted to one million dollars and the imports of Brazilian goods and services to Turkey reached a value of nearly two billion dollars.

The Turkish authorities want to encourage the exports to Brazil which are at a very low level in the present due to the distance between the two countries and the fact that local businessmen in the two countries don’t know each others very well and don’t know more about the business opportunities they have in the other country.
