One of the main gas pipelines in Europe, connecting Russia and the European South-Eastern countries, will be built under the Black Sea, on the Turkish territory. The initial route, through Bulgaria, was modified and now Turkey is the country chosen by the Russian authorities for this major project.
Two bridges across Bosphorus in Istanbul and more motorways, including Edirne-Istanbul-Ankara, are to be privatized by the Turkish authorities during this year and the procedures are estimated to start in the first quarter of 2015. The Turkish officials are not at the first attempt to privatize the two bridges and motorways as the first tender, that was made at the beginning of 2012, was cancelled one year later, after it was won by a consortium of companies - Turkey’s Koç Holding, Malaysia’s UEM Group Berhad and Gözde Private Equity.
