Turkey has become the sixth largest exporter of textile in the world, counting for 4% of the total exports made in 2014. The first country in this top was China with 41% of the global export of textile, followed by India (5.4%), Italy (5.3%) and Germany (5%). The information was recently shared by the Turkish Statistics Institute.
Changes for the utility taxes in Turkey
2015-08-20The Turkish Ministry of Energy plans to increase the utility taxes for both industrial and household consumers in order to rise the revenue for the public budget. The change will affect the consumption of electricity and natural gas in Turkey that still remains one of the top ten cheapest countries in Europe.
The authorities from USA and Turkey signed an agreement for financial information exchange between the two countries in order to avoid the tax evasion.
Despite the conflicts in the neighboring countries, Turkey is expecting to host over 42 million foreign visitors in 2015, who will spend over $35 billion and this figure means an increase in the tourism field.
